Transforming a space can be as simple as a change of paint color. Whether you're wanting to achieve a warm, cozy room or a dark, moody one--sometimes, all it takes is a fresh coat of paint! I really wanted to change the vibe of my bedroom to be a little more inviting. It's a north-facing space which has cooler sunlight. It has always felt a little cold, no matter what "warm" tones of bedding or furniture I utilized. I knew KILZ®: Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines® paint had something I was looking for to set the mood. This paint line is so buttery-smooth with the most gorgeous color options!
I knew it the moment I saw it.. 'Soft Landing' the perfect shade of a creamy, camel color. Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines® paint description for this is a "camel with a light yellow hue" which is exactly what it is.
At first when painting this color, it might come off more buttery yellow than expected. Give it some time to dry. The results are so beautiful once the paint settles.
BEFORE
My previous color was a very simple, creamy white. It was bright yet still too cold and not as comforting.
AFTER
'Soft Landing' by Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines® paint has the perfect amount of warmth, light but not too light. Depending on the lighting, it has stunning depth with shades of camel. When the natural light hits it, it has a gorgeous buttery-soft look. It's a very complex, interesting neutral shade.
